The mistletoe auction at Tenbury Wells has been held for over one hundred years, the only one of its kind. It is held in the heart of England's apple -growing country, where mistletoe is prolific in the orchards.
Each lot of Mistletoe is bundled into 10-15 kg lots and labelled with the vendor assuring payment after the auction.
There are three sales , Tuesdays starting late novemebr , running into December.
the even is often proceeded by a blessing of the Mistletoe by Druids who hold mistletoe sacred and there follow other seasonal festivities, a mistletoe and holly crowned Father Christmas may even make an appearance
